Benoît Robidoux
Benoît Robidoux is an economist. He was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Development Canada in 2015 and Senior Associate Deputy Minister of the same department in 2018.
He previously held various position at Finance Canada, including Assistant Deputy Minister of the Economic and Fiscal Policy Branch beginning in September 2010. In that position, he was responsible for overseeing the analysis and forecast of the country’s economic and fiscal situation, including the Budget Plan and the Economic and Fiscal Update.
After 35 years of public service, he retired in December 2020. Since then, among other things, he was a member of the P.E.I. GBI (Guaranteed Basic Income) team and of the Government of Canada’s Working Group on Public Service Productivity.
Benoît Robidoux est un économiste. Il a été nommé sous-ministre délégué du ministère de l’Emploi et du développement social Canada en 2015, puis il a été nommé sous-ministre délégué principal au même ministère en 2018.
Il a occupé auparavant différents postes à Finance Canada, incluant celui de sous-ministre adjoint de la Direction des politiques économique et budgétaire à partir de septembre 2010. Dans ce poste, il a supervisé l’analyse et les prévisions de la situation économique et budgétaire du pays, incluant le Plan budgétaire et la Mise à jour économique et financière.
Après 35 dans la fonction publique fédérale, il a pris sa retraite en décembre 2020. Depuis, entre autres choses, il a fait partie de l’équipe RBG (Revenu de Base Garanti) de l’Île du Prince Edouard et a été membre du Groupe de travail sur la productivité dans la fonction publique du Government du Canada.
