Jon Shell
Jon was Managing Director of SCP from 2017-2023, leading the transition to our Ownership Agenda. He spent most of his career in the private sector before joining SCP, founding and growing successful companies in both Canada and Australia. Jon co-founded both Save Small Business and the Canadian Employee Ownership Coalition. Jon was first introduced to SCP when Bill supported a volunteer entrepreneurship project he was leading in Kenya in 2008. He received a BA from Queen’s University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
Jon Shell a été directeur général de Social Capital Partners (SCP) de 2017 à 2023, période au cours de laquelle l’organisme a recentré ses activités sur les solutions d’actionnariat d’employés. Avant d’entrer chez SCP, il a passé l’essentiel de sa carrière dans le secteur privé et a fondé des entreprises qui ont connu le succès tant au Canada qu’en Australie. Il a cofondé Save Small Business/Sauvons les petites entreprises et la Canadian Employee Ownership Coalition/Employé(e)s Propriétaires Canada. Ses premiers contacts avec SCP remontent à 2008 quand Bill Young, fondateur de l’organisme, avait apporté son concours à un projet bénévole de développement de l’entrepreneuriat qu’il dirigeait au Kenya. Il possède un baccalauréat de l’Université Queen’s et un MBA de la Richard Ivey School of Business de l’Université Western.
